The Goodwins Latest Single Still Gaining Ground
Poca, WV (October 27, 2009) The Goodwins
latest single is still catching the attention of radio
& fans across the country. The song titled, "Jesus
Died Like A Man" has been on The Gospel Music Times
chart for 6 months & initially debuted at #1 within
it's first month of release! It held that position
for 4 consecutive weeks & continues to remain on the
chart. It also came in at #77 on The Christian
Voice Top 100 chart (November 2009) & is rapidly gaining
ground there as well.
The song was written by lead singer/songwriter, Martha
(Goodwin) Drake. Martha is an accomplished songwriter
credited with writing songs like "That's My Boy",
"Amen Corner", "24/7" & many others.
In addition to being released on The Eddie Crook CD
for Radio vol. 2009-03 (cut #5), the song was also released
on Radioactive Airplay (www.radioactiveairplay.com).

Singer
The Goodwins are pleased & very excited
to announce that a
 3rd
generation has been added to the group! The latest
addition to the group is none other than 4 year old
Katie Drake, daughter of lead singer, Martha Drake.
Katie is no stranger to the stage & rivals her Momma's
singing ability! With John Goodwin, his daughter
Martha Drake & now her daughter Katie Drake bringing
additional vocals to the group, The Goodwins really
are Southern Gospel....FAMILY STYLE!

Goodwins Scores
First #1
Nashville, TN (6/2/2009)
The Goodwins have scored their first #1 song with,
“Jesus Died Like A Man.” The recently released
song is gaining a huge amount of airplay nationwide
on both traditional radio stations as well as Internet
stations.
The writer of the song, Martha Drake of the Goodwins,
had this to say concerning the song hitting the number
one spot on the fan voted, Gospel Music Times chart:
“Once this song was mailed, we have been working the
phones and email very hard wanting to get the message
this song carries out to as many people as possible.
We would like to thank everyone that took their time
to vote for this song at the Gospel Music Times website.”

Goodwins' Latest
Radio Single Ships
The latest radio single from The Goodwins
shipped to radio this week. Written by founding
group member Martha Drake, the song is titled "Jesus
Died Like A Man." According to Martha, "I have
had more positive comments from our fans about this
particular song than any other on the Reflections CD
and it is quickly becoming one of our most requested
songs from this project." This is the second release
from the group's Reflections album.

24/7 is racing up the charts!
The Goodwins are excited to announce
that their latest single came in at #26 in February
2009 on The Gospel Music Times Top 40 Chart. The
Goodwins are flattered & excited about the news since
this chart is the only Southern Gospel Chart in the
industry that is 100% FAN voted! They want to
thank all the fans who made this possible & ask everyone
to be listening for their next single, "Jesus Died Like
A Man" coming to radio in June 2009!

The Latest CD release from The Goodwins has arrived!
The Goodwins are very excited to announce
that their newest CD "Reflections" has arrived!
This long anticipated new release is now available for
purchase in our online store. Their first radio
single from this CD, entitled "24/7" will be
released to radio in mid-November, 2008. Be listening
for The Goodwins and "24/7" on your local radio
station!

CD Release Concert
The Goodwins would like to invite everyone to attend
their CD Release Concert Celebration/Benefit for Baby
Darby, on Saturday, October 25th 2008. The event
will take place at Maranatha Fellowship Church in the
Family Life Center, 2910 Kanawha Terrace, St Albans,
WV. It will run from 12pm-5pm in the afternoon
with Genesis (Chas WV), Jamie Tolley (Chas WV), The
Jay Humphreys Trio (Chas WV) & Rhonda Pauley (Chas WV).
There will be a one hour dinner break & the concert
will continue from 6pm-10pm with The Concords (OH),
The Songsmen & Linda (Chas WV), The Goodwins (Poca,
WV) & nationally acclaimed artists, The Paynes (Cleveland,
OH).
All proceeds
from the event will go towards the Baby Darby fund.
This baby is a 7 month old boy with serious medical
needs that the family financially bore the burden alone
for until now. Insurance does not cover the type of
treatment that is required for the serious infection
& back injury that the child has, & the family is in
desperate need of financial assistance to continue treating
this beautiful baby. Concessions will be available
from 12pm-4pm & a Spaghetti Dinner will be available
from 4pm-9pm. Free Admission...Everyone welcome!

Introducing Our Brand New
Website
The Goodwins are very excited to unveil their brand
new website. We teamed up with BB Web Designs
recently in an attempt to update our current site &
present a more professional, easier to navigate site.
We are very pleased with the results! This new
site provides sound clips from our recordings, along
with group biographies, access to press materials, photos
etc. This site will make it much easier to keep
our fans informed of our schedule & latest news.
It will be updated & improved in many ways over the
next few weeks, so be sure to visit often for more info
on The Goodwins and their ministry.

Brand New Project!
The Goodwins are very excited to announce the upcoming
release of their latest project "Reflections".
This project from MorningStar Signature contains all
original material from the pens of Martha (Goodwin)
Drake, two of which were co-written with group member,
Melinda Standiford.
The project contains a
wide variety of diverse musical styles which has become
a trademark of The Goodwins music. It ranges from
country gospel with "The Quiet Stillness", to
modern Southern Gospel, with songs like "Jesus Died
Like A Man" & "Heart Of The King". The "jazz"
feel of "24/7" will definitely be a favorite
for more contemporary Southern Gospel fans.
Melinda is featured on
a lovely song called "The Mirror", which she
co-wrote with Martha. This beautiful song was
the inspiration for the title of the project.
Other songs on this project include, "Stand Back",
"Hallelujah Side", "Turn To The Cross" "One
More Song Of Praise" and "Believe It Or Not".
This project is the first with The Goodwins newest group
member, Melinda, and is certain to be a favorite of
current and future fans alike.
The first single from this
project will be released sometime around December 2008.
