Martha has been singing since the age of 4.
She was saved at the age of 12 & dedicated
her talent totally to the Lord. She
began writing songs at the age of 14 after a brief conversation |

 with
Howard & Vestal Goodman in which they
encouraged her to write her own songs.
In 1985, at the age of 15, Martha's song,
"Going Home Now" was voted #1 song in the
tri-state area by WXIT radio. After
the success of that song, Martha continued
writing & singing with her family for many
years.
In 1996 Martha made her first trip to the
National Quartet Convention. While
there, she was given the opportunity for
Eddie Crook to hear her songs, & soon the
group was offered the chance to record them
with the Eddie Crook Company.
The Wilburns later found success with one of
those songs entitled "That's My Boy".
It was immediately followed by many of her
original songs being recorded by a number of
Southern Gospel's most popular artists.
Martha resides in Poca, WV with her husband
Alfred, (the group sound technician) & her
children, Brandon & Kaitlyn. They
attend Maranatha Fellowship Church in St
Albans, WV.
